I’m going to cut to it: You want to know what’s what and we’ll tell you straight up. Let’s check out the Subaru STI, Kia’s Koup, Hyundai’s Blue (green) effort and see if Toyota’s latest RAV can cut it.

STI Or WRX?

I don’t totally get the STI despite the “What do you need to know? It’s got 305 HP!” I like the current Impreza Sport hatch. It’s a sweet-looking ride, but it ain’t no power house like this STI. Does the STI offer enough bang to make you forget the WRX?

What’s A Great Koup… Er, Coupe?

My family’s car growing up was a 1969 Ford Fairlane. A coupe. So I have a fondness for coupes as family cars. Oh, I know they don’t “make sense” for today’s modern family with the need of cup holders, TVs and video games, but they made sense back then. At least to my mom. Coupes fell out of fashion for a while, but they’re making a comeback with our retro-modern muscle cars: Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger. And now we have the Kia Koup. I recently saw a Koup on the road and I really, really liked its lines. And, of course, I love the Kia warranty. Let’s check it out.

Is the Elantra Blue Green Enough?

Hyundai is on such a roll that most every Hyundai our Cars Guide, Aaron Gold, tests he just ends up raving about. I am on Aaron’s side here: Hyundai is making great cars that will not only worry Detroit, but also Toyota and Honda. Since cars, in general, have gotten expensive to own and expensive to run, Hyundai’s released its “Blue” edition. Low-cost and frugal on fuel. So, how much green can the Blue save you? And is it worth it?

Is the 2010 RAV4 a GUD1?

Over the weekend, I was using a recent-model Honda CR-V and it really feels like Honda has taken away the ruggedness of the CR-V. The previous one was all about utility, but this one feels… It felt like it shouldn’t ever get dirty. Did Toyota take away the utility aspect in the RAV4? Can you get dirty with it?
